Pecan Pie Squares

 Ingredients:

For the crust:
2 3/4 cup white flour
1/4 cup + 2 T of sugar
3/4 cup of butter

Mix together until crumbly then press into a 10" x 15" inch pan with sides. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes until light brown.

Prepare the filling:
4 eggs slightly beaten
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup light or dark corn syrup
3 T of butter
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Use a mixer on medium speed until sugar is dissolved, a minute or two. Add 2 1/2 cup chopped pecans. Spread over the crust. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes until filling is set. Store in refrigerator. 

Grandma's Comments: This resembles pecan pie. The crust is very crumbly so press down well.
